Bumble, the female-first dating app resonates well with more serious daters and is everything Tinder isn’t. Rather than it being an open playing field where anyone can contact anyone, it gives all the power to the woman. Men cannot initiate conversation at all. Both men and women can use the app, but sticking to the values of the brand, the woman has to make the first move.
Disrupting the Norm
In the heterosexual dating realm of the app, traditional gender roles are abolished and it provides a platform for women to connect and build relationships on their call. Which is why partnering up with a brand such as Mejuri made sense from the get-go.
Mejuri is a direct-to-consumer jewelry company, providing minimalistic surprisingly affordable 14K gold pieces. The brand believes that women should be able to buy fine jewelry online, and they don't need a special occasion or excuse to do so. Having a, “Buy yourself the damn diamonds” approach, Mejuri became everything the traditional fine jewelry industry is not.
Together, they created the Honey Edition collection in support of Women for Women International. They have helped more than 478,000 women affected by war and conflict. 10% from each Honey piece will go towards this global mission.
